Hyattsville Branch Library: A Modern Community Treasure in Prince George’s County The Hyattsville Branch Library is one of the most beautiful public spaces in Prince George’s County. Thoughtfully designed and centrally located, it serves as a cultural and educational hub for families, students, professionals, and book lovers. The library features its own parking garage beneath the building, a rooftop area, quiet study rooms, and flexible spaces where visitors can host meetings, workshops, or community events. What makes this library even more impressive is its perfect location. It sits directly across from the Hyattsville Recreation Center, a three-story parking garage, a movie theater, and a scenic lake. My pc network lags there and I asked the IT team by email, by phone and no one really helps at all, they redirect me to speak to IT team, when I ask that they ask me to speak to another team. My laptop has no any issue in any place beside in pg libraries, that means there is some restriction. The inperson staffs are great and they atleast tried to give me new card, but the issue couldn't be fixed. No one get back to me by email, and the phone support is just bad. Great library, the parking, staff, looks... but for me unusable.

i love this library. everyone is very friendly and helpful. it’s very clean and quiet. great place to work. my not regret is that my schedule doesn’t permit me to visit more often! but the library offers a ton of online resources that i may use from home.

I love the new look of the library! I only hung out in the children's area so I didn't take pictures of everything. Plenty of seating - inside and outside. PGCMLS has done an excellent job with all the remodeled libraries and this is no exception. I look forward to coming back!

What an awesome place! Omg! The transformation is a-mazing! I remember coming here in the 80’s and 90’s and it was nothing like this. It’s as appealing to the eyes as to dwell on it. A solid multi level structure, it has so many little nooks to hideout, learn, play, collaborate, read or listen. Off the cuff, children’s play area as a reading tree play nook looks wonderful. A quiet reading room is off to the side. All areas are handicapped accessible, modernized, bright designs and inviting. There are too many aspects to properly detail. But the bottom line is, this library is much improved and a huge asset to the area. Even moreso now in this evolving post-pandemic time.
