Hugh Embry Library

Today I walked into this library to print a few documents and as I was walking towards the front desk to seek assistance, before I said anything, a very nice young lady who worked there by the name of “Tori” approached me with a pleasant smile and asked if I needed any help. Instantly, I felt good inside because I could tell that she was being genuine and that she really cared about providing great customer service. Furthermore, she handed me a coded computer card and kindly directed me towards a computer. After I finished on the computer and was ready to print my documents, Tori saw that I was on my way to the printer so she stopped what she was doing and quickly walked over and patiently assisted me from start to finish as I printed. I’m an HR Director and am very busy but NEVER too busy

Excellent facility with varied programs, including a weekly Chess Club on Wednesdays at 5:15 pm. This is an awesome club thanks to it's founder, Glen Thompson. Thank you!

Our family has enjoyed weekly story time at this library for more than a decade. The children's room in the newly renovated building is perfect for this special time together, and there are frequently fun crafts and other activities offered in the new meeting room, in conjunction with story time or as separate events. The staff here are particularly knowledgeable and present a calendar full of daily activity ideas to enjoy with little ones. They are also readily available for assistance with everything from book suggestions to tech issues to connecting with other community resources. They have offerings for adults, high schoolers, middle schoolers, and elementary children, in addition to their separate toddler and prek story times. Love this library. They offer so much. It’s always so clean and the ladies that work there are so inviting and nice. Lots of things for kids to do on a hot day. When we visited today they had a shark scavenger hunt for the kids, they loved it. The kids area is so fun. They always have things for the kids to color and games for them to play. So happy to have a library like this that’s so close to our home.
