Huckleberry's Great Pizza and Calzones

I just flew in from Texas just to try this pizza!! I will tell you now, this place did not disappoint! The hostess (Samora) was very welcoming and the server (Brooke) was helpful in assisting me with my order as I have never had a true Chicago style pizza. I ordered the 8" Sicilian Meatlovers pizza just for myself. Wow, that is a lot of pizza and I am pretty good at eating. I would totally recommend this place to anyone that might ask me "where is the best place in all of America to eat pizza?" My answer from this day forward will be, go to Huckleberry's in Rock Island, Illinois - you won't regret it. Truth be told, I was really here on a business trip, but the rest is the God's honest truth! I also had the privilege to shake hands with Mr. Huckleberry himself.

So delicious!! Staff is so friendly, food is fantastic, and the restaurant is always clean. So much cheese, you never have to ask for extra. Love this place for groups or families. They make sure your comfortable and never rush you out. 10/10 recommend the chocolate cake, John makes them fresh!

Fantastic Calzone (the Carmody)! I don’t know how they get that much flavor packed in, and the regular size (medium) was about 25% more than I could eat. Allison was fantastic; very pleasant, bright, AND helpful. Clean and inviting - I’ll be back!

The food here tastes wonderful. I can't say enough about the breadsticks with the amazing red sauce. However, the prices are unbelievable. A large one-topping pizza is nearly $50. We had a family of five and didn't get anything crazy, literally pizza and pasta. Our bill was $190 with the tip. Too expensive for pizza and pasta.

3.5 stars for the food. The appetizers, sandwiches and desserts were good but my chicken salad had tough, dry chicken. But I think it was just a miss as usually my food is very good. The service was amazing as always. The staff treat you like family. The music in the background is just loud enough to be heard, but not enough to interfere with our book club discussion. That music and the atmosphere made us feel a bit like stepping into time.
