Alfano's Pizza

My girlfriend and I have lived in the Quad cities all our lives and had never tried this local legend....until today. We decided to go with a large sausage and mushroom and a large pepperoni. The restaurant is carryout only and hours of business are from 4:30 pm to 10:30pm and the look of the restaurant and quality of the food is old school Italian. When we opened up that box and went to get our slices of pizza my girlfriend had her jaw dropped at the sheer majesty of the cheese pull, it seemed like it would never end. The exact phrase we used when taking our first bite was that it is "stupidly good". This visit has become the first of many to come.

Overpriced yuk! Apparently it ain’t like when ol’ man had it! Learn to drain your meat and mushrooms! Not so much cheese.

I wish that I had not waited to try their pizza until my son was graduating from Augie. I was told their pizza was fantastic and it did not disappoint at all. Our family is from just outside of Chicago so we have tried several thin crust pizzas in our area. This one is very comparable in quality and taste to some of the best pizza places in the Chicagoland area. Very reasonably priced. Just don’t wait like we did to try it when heading out of town. We will definitely have it again when back in the area. Enjoy!!! TIP: Pretty much carryout only. We took our pizzas to a picnic area of a local park nearby. They may have a seat or two inside, but pretty much carryout.

Lifelong resident of the Quad Cities… we finally tried tried Alfano’s tonight. I was met by a pleasant voice on the phone and again in person picking up. The staff seemed to be working as a team to create the pizzas for each order. We tried the “regular crust” - one with sausage and pepperoni, and one with half cheese/half sausage. The pizza was still hot at our house 20 minutes later, and we found it to be very tasty and of great quality. See you again soon!

Recently moved to the Quad Cities and have been so excited to try Alfano's! Did not disappoint! The calzones are massive and stuffed full of toppings. The sauce is seasoned wonderfully, the cheese is perfect, and the veggies are fresh. Alfano's will definitely be my new regular pizza place!
