Rock Island Downtown Library

Stopped at the library to check out historical information for the time period my family lived here in the early 1840s. Nathan, the librarian, was very helpful, offering me a newspaper on microfilm from the era and took me to the local history section. He also shared very interesting historical information about this town in the early 19th century. Thanks, Nathan!

Wow, I love the staff! And this is the oldest library in the state of Illinois, which is cool. Large collection, great library of stuff, and maybe the best staff.

I love the library. I see that you are giving away free seeds you might make a notification on your packets of native plant mix There is Milkweed. Milkweed has to have a period of cold before it will germinate in fact most native plant seeds need a period of cold before they will germinateso you might suggest putting the seeds for Milkweed in the fridge for a short period of time prior to planting.

Great staff, always helpful and kind. Regarding previous review . . . I love to see people using hand sanitizer! Kudos for sticking to the rules which we should all following willingly. Keep up the good work.
