Hootenanny’s at the Yard—Craft Barbecue Restaurant in Downtown Brunswick, Georgia

I told them to pack it to go, but it smells so good that I couldn't wait to try it. How fast do you suspect I'll be driving home now? If you said VERY, you are absolutely correct. What's that? Jalapeño corn pudding. Why did I only order 1? UPDATE: I'm home. Let me just say this--- there's not another BBQ joint that could compete on even their best day. All the way to the takeout packaging and "fancy" cutlery. So smart packing in the brown paper box and bag. I drove home to the island and my food is ready to eat right out of the box. Omg I have not a single negative thing besides where have they been all my life? Would you look at that brisket? JUST LOOK AT IT!

I have to say I didn't expect too much whenever I see high ratings in a small town, but the pictures looked legit and the ambience looked great. Omg. Small town, "big city standard" flavors. I'm originally from Bangkok and I love rich flavors that are well-balanced. The brisket was amazing (I lived in Austin at one point) and the nachos were the best I have ever had. I don't like it when the chips get soggy, but even with all the sauce and toppings - the chips were still crunchy. Nice view of a historic courthouse and large portion as well 👍🏻 Worth a drive out of I-95. So good!

We had the chance to bring our entire office to Hootenany’s today, and it was an incredible experience. We had more than 14 people attending, and we worked with them ahead of time to get our orders set up so everything was ready when we arrived. From start to finish, the food was outstanding. I always judge a barbecue place by whether I need sauce for the ribs, and Hootenany’s absolutely delivered. The meat was moist, packed with flavor, and honestly didn’t need sauce at all. That said, the street corn deserves special mention. The sauce on the corn was so good that it ended up becoming my dipping sauce for everything else on the plate. After a family vacation on Jekyll Island, we stopped in Brunswick to eat. We were just browsing the map and decided to give this place a try. O. M. G. When i tell you I still dream about the brisket nachos at this place. I’ve tried to recreate them to no avail. The vibe was great, the food was awesome, and the memories of this place are top notch. Can’t wait till the next family vacation!

Phenomenal! This is next level bbq. I had the pork steak and Cajun creme special and it was so good! My wide was the Brunswick stew. All the flavors, seasoning and smoke were unique and not just the old same old BBQ..
