DONT BE FOOLED‼️ yes the food is presented delicious but as EVERYONE has stated that the rice and vegetables are 🚮 come on now with the response about “getting back to your kitchen staff” because you are not sir/ma’am that is all bogus. The rice tastes like complete water absolutely no flavor and as if the restaurant put the leftovers in the freezer and serve the next day‼️the veggies have 0 flavor 0 salt 0 NADA 🤦🏽‍♀️ please do better Hooks because there is no way that I should be spending $18 on a meal and can only eat the tilapia and even that barely tasted like anything. This is unacceptable no matter what your response may be to my review you know that it is UNACCEPTABLE. The coleslaw tastes like you guys cut the corner nothing but sugar and water. I have tried the grilled snapper, fried snapper, fried whiting, and fried catfish. I like the fried catfish the best. Hook's gives good portions, the prices are reasonable, and the food is tasty. They also offer healthy options, ie. grilled and vegetable side dishes. That's always a plus. I found out about this place maybe a month ago, and I think I may have ordered from here about 10 times. I put my other seafood spot down. Hook's most definitely has a new customer.

I ordered the CATFISH and 10 shrimp dinner. I came here bc I felt it was a really good price for what I’d be getting. I wasn’t impressed bc the shrimp was a bit overcooked, the rice was dry (I’m Hispanic i know rice) the veggies had zero salt/flavor and the “catfish” was actually tilapia and I’m not sure if they genuinely made a mistake or they thought I just wouldn’t know my fish but they were wrong. Now I wanna say that with all this I mentioned I really wouldn’t even give a negative review bc this place has a pretty good 4.6 starts considering this entire area doesn’t have really good rated restaurants and I would just assume it was a one time thing buttt bc this food literally ran right thru my stomach in MINUTES I decided I’d absolutely write a review. Second time in here since October 2025 last year and they still have not updated the prices on the board and when it is spoken on.. All they have to say is they sorry they just haven’t updated they board yet.. But once again this is my second time here and the first thing people looks at is the board above them while others are ordering not the menus they have taped in front of the register on the counter. False advertising and not holding themselves accountable of this at all.. This should have been change when they made the menus that they taped to the counter.

My staff and I wanted to try something new on Old National Hwy for lunch. I received their flyer in the mail, so we decided to try it today! I'm so glad we did. Everything we ordered was fresh, hot and full of flavor. The grilled snapper was perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. The fried shrimp was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The fried wings were seasoned and well cooked, and the fried fish was golden, crunchy, and tasted awesome! The portions were generous and the service was amazing! We will definitely be back. I highly recommend this place!
