Hometown Dumpling 弄堂生煎

I just stopped by Hometown Dumpling, a new spot opening in the Chinatown market in Salt Lake City. It looks like they’re still in a soft opening phase and don’t have their hours posted yet, but if you happen to be walking by, I highly recommend stopping in. The food was very, very good and absolutely hit the spot. The menu is a little limited right now, which is totally understandable during a soft opening—but honestly, everything I ordered was so delicious that it didn’t matter. I’m really excited to see the full menu when it’s available and to find out their regular hours, because this is definitely a place I’m going to want to come back to often. If you’re in the Chinatown market and see they’re open, it’s well worth stopping in

Great food that tastes like home! The staff is attentive and open about communication on wait times and gives great recommendations! For as long as they're around, I'm happy to bring my entire family for dinner as often as I can.

Honestly, a great place hasn’t officially fully opened to their menu but everything that they’re offering at this time is fantastic highly recommend, especially for a great date night idea small quaint vibes with an relaxing atmosphere and reasonable pricing for not only Bao but also authentic fried dumplings appetizers handmade noodles and steamed Bao Haven’t tried the handmade Wonton yet but also looks really really good. Definitely a great new addition to the Chinatown marketplace.

The soup dumping were bursting in my mouth and their egg custard buns were also so delicious

The braised pork bao was amazing. Definitely worth the stop!
