Hometown Diner

This place is under new management and it shows. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Everything we ordered was delicious.

First time trying this place. My veggie omelet was delicious and filling 😋 turkey sausage was good too! I will definitely be returning.

My husband and I visited today after church and there was no wait for a table. Our server, Spencer, was at our table in less than a minute. He was most pleasant and friendly. While waiting for our meals to arrive, my visit to the restroom was very pleasing. I am a stickler for a clean restroom. Once our food arrived, the presentation was appealing and everything tasted great. My pancakes were SUPER fluffy but, were a little bland (nothing that syrup couldn't fix). Other than that, we truly enjoyed everything and Spencer's service! We'll be back Hometown Diner.

Came for lunch for the first time and it was great! Dayja was our server and she was delightful and helpful. I had the club sandwich and my buddy had a catfish. We both enjoyed our meal very much. Will definitely stop by again next time I'm in Portsmouth.

Just had the weirdest experience. In ordered the pulled pork sandwich, but when it came out it looked like slop (1st photo). I expressed my concern and stated I didn’t want to make it a big deal but that it doesn’t look great. The waitress (who was very nice) reassured me that she could get me something else, so I asked for a burger instead. Then texted my wife a photo to make sure I wasn’t imagining it (2nd photo). A short time later another lady, apparently the owner, came to my table and inquired about my meal. I again expressed that I didn’t want it to be a big deal, but that it didn’t look like pulled pork sandwiches that I’ve been eating my entire life. She then told me that there was nothing wrong with the sandwich and that I would have to pay for it and that I could order another
