The food and vibe was fantastic. Super cozy. They seated us right away. Mitchell, our waiter made our experience extra special. He was super attentive and gave us on point recommendations for dinner. He continued to check in and made sure we were never empty handed and had good food on the table.

This restaurant continues to be our favorite in the area. The food IS OFF THE CHARTS as are the unique cocktails. Tonight we were served by a charming young man named Mitchell, who was attentive and engaging without being overbearing. Every time our cups runneth near empty, Mitchell would appear like a telepathic mist, seeing to our needs like the God of Earthy delights, and then he’d be gone. Some menu faves include the mussels, maple cabbage, risotto, and fettuccini. Don’t skip dessert either!! The black cherry crème brûlée was a panty dropper (pardon my French)! Portions are large enough for sharing… do yourself a favor and make reservations as this little gem is no secret and can be hard to get a seat on a whim. Building and rooms are darling as well. This review is for the restaurant. We got walk in sitting at the bar for dinner. The drinks and food was alright. The steak and beets dishes were good. The sticky ribs were a bit salty and otherwise lacking flavor and inconsistent in that some were falling off the bone and others were dry and undercooked. The waiter also asked if we needed takeout boxes before our main dish came.

Homestyle Restaurant was recommended to us by a resident of Ludlow. We decided to do a private room and had the pleasure of meeting & being served by Mitch. He explained to us that the courses were shared plates and how many choices best suit the table which was very helpful. Mitch recommended the Schnitzel and Cavatelli- both of which were absolutely incredible! Mitch also recommended The Good Boy which my boyfriend said, “might have been the best drink I’ve ever had”. The room was so cozy and everything we ate/drank was delicious and we can’t wait til next year to stop by again!

This is one of the best times I had great food. First off, the staff greeted us with respect and kindness when sitting down at the table. They have a genuine take on family-style food. I tried their winter salad, mussels, fettuccine, roasted rainbow carrots, and the chocolate chip cookie. I assume the menu rotates weekly/daily. The salad was as fresh as I have ever had, every bite was almost juicy. The mussels were great with little to no sand included at all. Sand and sediment in mussels ruins the experience. The fettuccini with pork shoulder was different than what I was expecting. It was almost unsalted, but I believe this by design because it was warm and very delicious with perfectly cooked fresh pasta. So well done i realized immediately that it was purposeful.
