Echo Lake Inn

My friend Nadia and I recently stayed at the Echo Lake Inn, and it was my first time ever experiencing a bed and breakfast. I’ll admit, I was a little hesitant at first about the closeness that sometimes comes with that type of stay, but the experience ended up being absolutely wonderful. (I'm a city girl) From the moment we checked in, the host was incredibly welcoming, informative, and made us feel right at home. Every member of the staff we interacted with was kind, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure guests had a great experience. The small dining area and restaurant were fantastic. The snow in Vermont was excellent this past winter and I did not have a chance to get there before. I decided to go up for two nights by myself and booked through the Okemo website a room at the Echo lake Inn. The Inn was very quiet, had a reading room with free coffee and tea, and a resident dog who was very friendly. Breakfast was included each day and was wonderful - each day I had French toast with bacon, Vermont maple syrup, juice and coffee. Parking was right across the street in the church parking lot and there was plenty of space. The dining room for dinner was not open those nights I stayed but I think it's menu was extensive. The innkeeper, Tom, very nice to recommend other restaurants. I would like to come back and visit in the summer to see the lake.

We had dinner at the Echo Lake Inn Restaurant. It was great. The decor felt homey and comfortable. Service was pretty good. The food was good also, with huge portion and many interesting specials. While the duck terrine was so-so, the shrimp carbonara was outstanding and the portion was enormous. Duck breast was also very good and cooked exactly as requested. Steak was good also.

We just finished a fabulous meal. We've driven past many times and today we stopped in to make dinner reservations. The staff was extremely friendly. Service was fantastic. The Inn has a lovely old world Vermont vibe. Although we are staying in Killington, it was well worth the short drive.

Recently stayed here for several nights. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming or on top of things. Its a very comfortable and well run place, and a great value as well. We will be back!
