Home Run Espresso

I may not be a baseball fan, but I AM a Home Run Espresso fan! This place is the best. The baristas always make sure to pay attention to the details and our drinks are always amazing, whether we are getting a sugar-free mocha, or a hand-crafted red bull drink. The monthly $4.50 20oz specials are the BEST! Today from the October specials, I got the red bull with green apple and caramel sauce special. It's so yummy, it's almost spooky! Highly recommend Home Run Espresso, 10/10

I’ve stopped in a couple of times, and today I experienced the same older, crabby lady mentioned in other reviews. She was extremely friendly and chatty with the older gentleman next to me (who even joked that she “looked grumpy”), but she never said a word to me. It definitely felt like a different experience depending on who you are. On a positive note, there is a younger gal there who is always really nice and welcoming.

Their coffee doesn't taste good, they close really early, and never make our drinks right. One time I gave one of the girls a full stamp card and she charged me full price and didn't apologize. They never make an iced mocha breve right. Today I got a hot cocoa and it was lukewarm. By the time we pulled away from the coffee stand it was already cold. I don't recommend this place. You're better off going to Where To Get Espresso down the road.

I have been several times in the mornings, and always greeted by a crabby older lady who seems irritated by my order (standard white chocolate Americano). She doesn’t smile or say anything welcoming. One of my last visits she just ignored me for minutes on end because she was so immersed in her conversation with the guy on the other side who’d already paid and been given his drink. The drinks are wildly inconsistent, too. I chose to stop here because it’s a tad closer to me but I learned my lesson today — just keep driving to Where to Get Espresso where they appreciate me and my time.

I stopped at Home Run for coffee this morning, and I believe Finley was the barista on duty. When I pulled up, she was leaning out the window chatting with someone (looked like her boyfriend) instead of focusing on customers. I didn’t think much of it at first, but throughout my order, it was clear her attention was elsewhere. My partner actually walked to the store and back before our drinks were finished. Finley even forgot part of my partner’s order. When I pointed it out, I mentioned that if she had been focused on her customers instead of the conversation outside, she probably would have gotten it right. By the time I left, I was frustrated. The service was slow, distracted, and far below what I’ve come to expect from this coffee stand.
