Everything was delicious! Fluffy French toast, tasty kielbasa, the home fries reminded me of Bojangles , so good, the best around! Friendly staff, chef brings your food up to you right away, no waiting for server. Cozy cafe, feels like Sunday morning at the breakfast table with the fam,diner style coffee, will be back for sure!

During our visit, there was only one server on the floor. While I’m willing to give the benefit of the doubt that someone may have called out, service was still very disorganized. Our food order was incorrect three separate times, and two items that were ordered never arrived at all. Water refills were never offered or provided without repeatedly asking. The most attentive person in the restaurant was actually the cook, who was not actively cooking at the time. Instead, a server appeared to be handling cooking duties while the cook was assisting guests, which added to the overall confusion. The cook was polite and attentive and seemed to notice that we were repeatedly trying to get the server’s attention without success. I did feel that we were not a priority as guests. Homerun Cafe is a must-visit here in Lake Placid. I have been eating here for 3 years, and I have never had a bad meal or a bad server. It's been consistently good. The food options have also been consistently expanded in flavor and creativity. The pulled pork sandwich is fantastic with the homemade dill dressing. My all-time favorite is the Cesar salad with a grilled chicken breast on it ❤️

I went in for some everything bagels. First time there. When I opened the door, it felt like I stepped onto the surface of the sun. How in heavens name can anyone sit in there? The counter was full too. The griddle is 2 feet away from the counter. Lol. Well the food is good.

We were ordering a take out order for 5 people. The waitress was friendly and patient as we reviewed our options and then ordered. She made some excellent suggestions. The cook prepared and cooked our food in front of us. He was like an artist! He told me that he has been doing this work for 20 years. We all enjoyed the food which was cooked perfectly! We would highly recommend the Home Run Cafe!
