Holiday Inn Express Le Claire Riverfront-Davenport by IHG

We stayed last night at LeClair Holiday Inn express and had a beautiful river view. Cierra at the front desk greeted us with the warm, friendly smile and welcomed us. She surprised us that our will have been updated to a Riverview room. Hotel is spotless and even the lady vacuuming in the lobby welcomed us and the housekeepers on our floor were positive and friendly and welcomed us. The room was beautifully decorated with a comfortable bed and large well lit bathroom with a lovely large shower with a seat and the shower provided lots of hot water with a wonderful spray head. Breakfast was delightful with hot oatmeal, pancakes, egg white omelette, turkey sausage, regular sausage and also scrambled eggs. Holiday Inn Express Le Claire| This hotel, in my opinion, was one of the best I have visited in its class! We had a river view room. The room was spotless with nice features. The TV was great, the Heat/AC ran perfectly. It had a microwave and fridge. | The bathroom had nice accessories and was spotless. The shower was amazing. Hot (or cold )effortlessly and the water pressure fantastic!| I used the pool. It was sparkling clean and good for lap swimming or kids play. There was also a nice hot tub. | Breakfast was great too, including wonderful pancakes.| Every interaction with the staff reflected true hospitality—they were attentive without being intrusive and always ready to help. Very nice setting for this hotel right beside the Mississippi River on the Iowa side with Illinois on the other side. Easy to get to from the highway & safe (small town). Hotel is clean with fairly updated decor. Pool area (indoor) is really clean & water was warm. There is a train that runs on the backside of the hotel, but it didn’t bother us at all & I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was delicious & I was impressed they had my fav breakfast meat, sausage links. Front desk staff were friendly & helpful.

We stay at a lot of hotels at various price points. Some are exactly as we expect . . . “ya get what ya pay for”. And some are such a wonderful surprise. This location was definitely the wonderful surprise. |Let’s start with the easy off/easy on proximity to I80. Then there’s the covered entrance and easy parking. Michelle at the desk greeted us with a smile and a warm welcome. It was as though she really enjoys her job.|We requested and received a first floor room. We were fortunate to get on the river side, but we live near trains so the other side would have been ok too. The outside access door was a surprise, and would have been nice to use in nicer weather.|The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and well lit. |The crowning jewel was the bathroom. It too was spacious and well lit.

Best Holiday Inn Express I have been in recently. Clean, specious, nicely decorated room. Helpful and friendly staff. |Great location right on the Mississippi River. Get a balcony room for a great view. |Only negative was the breakfast was low on a few things and I didn’t see staff to ask for a restock. Otherwise breakfast was adequate. |I would definitely stay here again.
