Hoefel Haus B&B and Bike Hostel

This was a very enjoyable stay! My husband found and booked this b&b for my birthday! The aesthetic and presentation were beautiful. The period decor mixed with the family’s art and historical pieces set off the whole environmental experience. All amenities were on point and readily available. Every room was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated while still providing a feeling of livability. They even provided a personalized touch in our room for my birthday! And the cherry on top were the hosts, Kurt and Peggy who truly put their heart and soul into this place and you can feel it. The food, prepared by the host, was restaurant quality and beautifully presented, and the personable conversation made us forget we were guests there.

Wonderful BnB in a cool old (1910) house. I stayed a night in the bike hostel room while cycling the Katy Trail. Nice garage for my bicycle and hose to wash off the trail dirt. There's a super restaurant across the street and a convenience store for ride snacks next door to that. Kurt and Peggy are fantastic hosts. It's definitely worth the short detour off the Katy Trail.

My husband & I had the opportunity to stay at this charming B&B. I purchased a certificate since this nice couple, Kurt & Peggy, had donated it to a Benefit held for my second cousin bay injured as a officer, Adam Sullentrup. Their kindness in that donation also shows in their B & B, exactly the caring people that they are. The B & B was very relaxing, clean & decorated with such detail. It offers everything imaginable for a sweet getaway from private bathrooms to a common area such as a cozy lounge/reading room, a patio & a large porch. The linens, bathroom towels & robes were top notch quality. There are no words for the delicious unique breakfast Kurt prepared. They were a fun couple to chat with too! We need more of these wonderful people in our world. Definitely recommend it as 10❣️

We stayed at the Hoefel House after a long day cycling the Katy Trail. Peggy, who recognized that we were exhausted, was so welcoming. Within minutes it was clear that this was a special B&B operated by special people. Peggy and Kurt recently renovated the house. The cycling decor and original art work are fun and creative. We stayed in the spacious "train" room which has a 4 post Cal King Sleep Number mattress that was super comfortable. We heard about the amazing breakfasts that Kurt prepares on the weekends, but we stayed midweek yet still enjoyed a delicious breakfast to power us through another day riding the Trail. The Hoefel House is everything you hope to experience when you stay at a B&B. Don't miss staying here.

My family and I took an overnight trip to Washington, MO, and were so lucky to find the Hoefel Haus Country Cottage available. Our last-minute excursion required a little luck since many local B&Bs were already booked solid or were more than we wanted to spend for one night. The Hoefel Haus Country Cottage turned out to be the perfect solution. We knew we would be traveling with two small kids but when our sitter for the weekend canceled, we found ourselves traveling with three small kids. Kurt and Peggy were very accommodating and had no problem with us bringing the little one.||The Cottage was about 15 minutes outside of downtown Washington and although not entirely secluded we felt as though it was.
