Beekeeper's Cottage | Missouri Haus Vacation Rental

This is a beautiful place and has an in ground swimming pool in the back yard as well as a BBQ grille, hot tub, plus a "Man Cave" available for an extra charge. The house is pet friendly. You can also rent the Mill House next door and accommodate up to 20 people. This is a popular place during the summer months.

This is actually our second trip to the Beekeeper's cottage. My wife posted a review a year ago and similar to last year we had a great time. The property is spectacular! It is a 5+ hour drive for us so arriving to the house and seeing the welcome basket was an awesome way to unwind after the long drive. My wife used the kitchen to make breakfast/brunch each day and then we were off on adventures in the area. There are many things to do such as Six Flags, Meramec caverns, watching glass blowing at Astral Glass Studio, etc. We lucked out again and the 2nd house as not rented so we had the pool and the hot tub to ourselves. Stayed here Feb, 2023 for a girls weekend. We had an amazing time. House is so cozy and adorable. We loved relaxing in the hot tub which is really good sized and holds heat well. Was relieved no none rented the other house so we didn’t have to share the hot tub. Was surprised to find a welcome gift; local bottle of wine and meat/cheese/snack box and coffee. That was very thoughtful and appreciated! Washington is a great city to shop, ear and play. Love the proximity to town. If it wasn’t February we would have walked from the house everywhere. As it was, we only drove a couple blocks then walked around.

We loved our stay there! Granted we did luck out and we rented just 1 of the two homes that shared the pool and it just so happened that the other house was not rented so we had the pool to ourselves. It was so very relaxing there. We tacked on the game room so we did that in the evenings too. Super great place to stay. 4 of us stayed: 2 adults and 2 older children. Not sure if I would recommend for younger kids. Not that there are any safety issues just the house has some cute décor that would be very tempting for little hands to grab. Also the bedrooms are all upstairs and the stairs are that of a historic home, so if you have issues with steps also maybe not the easiest place to stay. The set up of the 2 homes is perfect! They are decorated very nicely and well stocked! We had everything we needed. The hosts were available and able to answer any questions we had. Our family ranged in age of 3-68 and there was room for all. The pool and game room were hits with the young and old! We were able to walk to brunch and for ice cream! We’ll be back!
