⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best sushi on the Western Slope. Hands down our favorite spot in Montrose. We go all the time and usually grab the Mt. Fuji and San Juan rolls. The service is really great and feels very homely. What we didn’t like was the food. We absolutely love Thai and Japanese cuisine.. so wherever we travel, we usually choose these as our safe options. This was the first time we were disappointed. That said, the service is truly top-notch and the owner is extremely humble.

Lunch specials are consistently good, and the service is always quick and efficient. It’s rarely too busy in the afternoons, which makes it a great spot for a relaxed, no-rush meal. I do wish there were a few more vegetarian options (sushi), but that’s fairly common for the area. Overall, dependable quality, friendly service, and a solid choice for lunch.

Placed an online order for lunch takeout. Didn’t get an email that my order was ready so I called after a little over an hour. Guy on phone says “I guess it’s ready.” I’ll add photos but the salad was sparse and chicken hibachi meal had 9 small chicken chunks. The sauce tasted like it was from a bottle. Really bad would not recommend.

Me and my SO have been eating at HIRO for quite the while. They have always been very accommodating and very kind. Their service is on point. My SO has had several different types of Sushi before and he says this place serves some of the best. We are always so happy with the experience and the food that we receive here. We always recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a new place to try. Thanks for the great service! :)
