I really wish I could give a better review, because we were genuinely excited to work with Blue Ribbon Barbecue for our wedding. This review reflects our experience with them as a caterer. The food itself was decent—definitely not Texas-level barbecue, but for Montrose, it’s solid. We ordered 90 plates with the intention of having leftovers (74 mouths fed), but there were none. When our coordinator reached out, Tyler (the owner) explained that he always brings extra food so guests can have seconds. That didn’t quite add up—why would a caterer bring extra food beyond what was paid for? It left us wondering whether the portions were simply miscalculated. Another issue was the food temperature. Blue Ribbon BBQ Catered my wedding this past weekend and I couldn't be more happy! Sherry was extremely communicative over email, which was SO nice for trying to plan a major event. Her and her team showed up early, served delicious food, and even went above and beyond to provide accomodations for a vegetarian guest and clean up. My wife is from Texas and we were both impressed by the quality of the BBQ and the affordable price point. Even if you aren't looking for catering I recommend you give Blue Ribbon BBQ a try! Tyler catered an employee lunch for me for 10 people.We had the brisket and spicy sausage, both which were delicious.The brisket was just as I requested, juicy and tender.The baked beans were amazing. He delivered on time and the food was the correct temperature. I highly recommend his services.

Sherry is THE BEST! She and her son Zach catered my wedding just outside of Montrose a few weeks ago. They truly made it happen for us as we did not pick an easy location to get to. Throughout the process she was easy to work with, accommodating and responsive. She went above and beyond for us. We had not tried Blue Ribbon Bar B Que before our wedding day and let me tell you--it was some of the best BBQ I've ever had! All of our guests could not stop raving about how good each and every item she served was. We will be stopping at her spot in Montrose, CO each and every time we drive through there. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
