Hinkley Bakery

Article in MLive said this is the best donut in Michigan and its been in the same family for 100 years. Got to give it a try. Again, this is a 100 years old family business, Cash or business checks only btw. They make yeast and cake donut and have typical shapes you see in other places. All very good, bigger size than average. They also have a crescent donut which looks like an empanada. (See pictures). I usually don't get cake donut because the ones from Tim Horton are gross and dry. But Hinkley do it right . They are tender in the inside and the taste like a muffin.

Wonderful place!! The lady that helped me was proud of what they served and gave me info on my donuts. 4th generation made my treats today and it showed in your amazing donuts!! We drove over an hour for these treats and it did not disappoint. Worth a stop definitely!!

Finally made it down from Lansing. I struggled to find good donuts in mid Michigan so this has been on my list for a while. Well worth the wait and I’ll definitely be back.

Visited this bakery on the recommendation of a local and have been back multiple times! On my 1st visit I didn’t know they were cash only and only had a few dollars on me, the owner made sure I got a taste of all they had to offer with what little cash I had on me. The level of customer service and kindness I received was amazing! The donuts were the best I’ve ever had! The hot donut holes are to die for!!

Fluffy, fresh, and frosted with love – Hinkley’s Bakery knows how to do donuts right. I came for one… Left with a dozen. No regrets. This place is a total gem!
