Hillside Original New York System

I finally got to try a New York System hot wiener for the first time, and wow – what a delicious introduction! I'd heard about these Rhode Island classics but never had one until I stopped in here. Hands down, just great all around. The place is spotless – clean restaurant, immaculate restroom, everything feels fresh and welcoming. The owner and staff? Super friendly and genuinely nice – they made me feel right at home even as a first-timer. I went for the classic hot wiener "all the way": steamed soft bun (perfectly pillowy), the wiener grilled just right, topped with that incredible seasoned meat sauce that's savory, rich, and full of flavor (think subtle spices, not spicy chili). Always good affordable food, weiners a RI tradition. Been going here for years, they used to have a to go window open late nights for after club hours. Breakfast was good also. Good times of the past. Sad to see them go :(

I used to think olneyville was the best, but with the new hillside owners, they’ve managed to do the impossible and beat olneyville in taste and quality. My new favorite wiener place. Plus olneyville is owned by out of state billionaires now. Shop local and support actual small businesses like hillside ny system.

Had a great breakfast experience. The lemonade tasted fresh, the pancakes were expertly cooked and as a Latino I can say that the burrito is actually good! Loved the breakfast potatoes, too. We also ordered the breakfast sandwich on a croissant and it was excellent. We also love the lunch fries and shakes. Friendly service, too. Highly recommend!

The weiners were delicious and the fries were hot and well done. The coffee milk was perfect.. They have a large menu besides the typical NY system. Well worth the visit.
