Hillman's Seafood & Fish House

This is the only place my family gets crawfish and shrimp. Always accommodating and crawfish are amazing! Great prices and service! We also get bait and ice when we are going fishing.

An hour and a half drive from my home took me back 40+ years to a time before Hurricane Alicia destroyed Hillman's Seafood restaurant. I had eaten here many times as a child with my family and always loved their food. Today I was here for their fresh seafood. Everything looked great and that was later confirmed with the dinner I made. A big personal highlight, was being allowed to see the now empty original restaurant. It was a real life flashback. It was great to see the old menus and news clippings. I was also surprised to find out I could buy their shrimp coleslaw I grew up eating...so good. The hush puppies were good too. I look forward to trying the gumbo next. Thanks again for the great fresh seafood and the trip back in time!

I fish out of here with a local guide and when I'm done I always grab some boudin and fish and crab on the way out. Has a huge selection of fresh fish, oysters and shrimp to choose from. It's definitely not glamorous but extremely fresh and good. It's what a real fish house is supposed to look like.

Family owned company. Fantastic, fresh seafood, brought in sometimes just a few hours before. My family has been coming here for years and so did the one I grew up in. I sold a house down the street from Hillmans recently, and that is how I discovered this place. What a treasure! We got shrimp, large and such a great price, and they’re jalapeño hush puppies! Amazing, amazing, amazing!
