Highlander BBQ

Each year our family travels in for various locations to cut down our Christmas Tree. We stumbled across this quaint BBQ place in our way up the mountain. The food is great the service is amazing. You must stop by. The menus is huge and the owner really cares about the business.

First time here and I had the pulled pork nachos. Was damn good! My fiance had the meatloaf. It tasted like meatloaf. The spicy vinegar sauce though is 10/10, we both put it on everything!

I can’t believe this is the first time we have been to Highlander BBQ! We are staying to weekend at the State Park and had takeout for lunch. Delicious flavorful pulled pork barbecue. We had 2 family packs. Pulled pork, buns, barbecue sauce, slaw, and beans. This came with plenty of food to feed our family of 7. Definitely a place we will go again!

There is no reason to give less than 5 stars. It's not the flashiest restaurant I've ever been to, but it was nice, clean, and the people were friendly. The barbecue and slaw were good. The place was about half full, so everyone else around must like it. We just stopped because we were in the area on a trip.

Excellent Local restaurant in a small town. We sampled lots of items on the menu. The hush puppies were perfect, the BBQ Chicken and pork sandwiches were delish and all of the sides were cooked to perfection. Will definitely return if we are ever in the area again.
