Higher Grounds - Coffee & Ice Cream

This place is so cute and quirky. We loved the slide and area for the kids to play. The coffee was delicious and who doesn’t love ice cream? The environment and service was welcoming. Thank you!! We will definitely be back.

This coffee shop is awesome! Fun things for kids to play with outside. Tons of seating everywhere. Delicious homemade pastries. And the best part is the coffee. We got a maple latte and it is the perfect amount of syrup, milk, and espresso! Try it out!

WoW! I have been coming to the Outer Banks for 35 years... I never knew this spot was here, and honestly never knew about Collington! Sad, I know! Thank you Higher Grounds for bringing attention to this area- its a gorgeous part that can be easily overlooked. I read your story on the wall and I love it! I want you to know that the house being built across the way will not take away a thing from you! Its a beautiful spot with wonderful people inside! Nothing can change that! We loved the malts, we loved the coffee, my parents came with us one day and they were also very happy with their orders. The extractions for coffee we perfect. Thank you for this place- I didn't visit any other coffee shop this time! Keep up the amazing job you do. Also- if you are considering going by this place-

Older lady was nice Young one sound irritated that I had a brain fart as to what type of cone I like. I didn't hear her the first time. I'm sorry... I guess I'm not quick enough. (Not busy, it's was just us) First time there, felt intimidated to go back.

I had been following the FB page prior to our visit and was super excited for our ice cream and coffee based off the photos. What I did not expect was how cute the place was going to be- my kids were obsessed with the slide and playing!
