Such a cute cafe - small interior but great vibe! The owner and employees were so nice. I LOVE viet coffee, so I was so excited to come here! I do wish they had other viet coffee options tho, like adding egg cream or salted cream tops. Not the best viet coffee spot I’ve ever been to, but very solid - Ca phe sua da w/ full caffeine on the sweeter side ($8): 10/10, very strong flavor. They asked me for my preference on sweetness level. I’m a chronic fast drinker, but they recommended to sip this (which I tried my hardest to follow lol), as you’re supposed to let the ice melt as you drink
Their Vietnamese iced coffee is no joke! Strong but still the perfect sweetness. I saw Hien from Vietnam on social media and came to try it out. It was a quiet day so there was no line for a Wednesday afternoon. I ordered the ca phe sua da with full caffeine and regular sweetness. It was prefect for me, but I prefer sweeter drinks. It came with crushed ice which is the traditional way it’s served. I loved my drink, and the employee was so friendly and helpful. It’s a small space inside but definitely worth it if you’re in the Chinatown area!
I have been looking for a quaint coffee shop in the neighborhood for some time. I walked into Hien from Vietnam unexpectedly today and was blown away by how cozy the shop was inside. The barista greeted me happily and was cheerful and kind. If you're in the NYC Chinatown area or looking for a new coffee shop to love, you absolutely have to check out Hien From Vietnam. It's a must-visit for its exceptional vietnamese coffee and wonderful atmosphere!
Christmas (the owner) is so lovely and the iced coffee was phenomenal. If i did not have restraint, i would probably have a third cup in one seating this afternoon. I cannot wait to return for the treat that was the iced coffee and a little chat with Christmas, who certainly made my day. I love independent coffee shops!
Such a cute and unique spot - the interior is small but beautiful and the classic Vietnamese iced coffee (we got half sweet) was sooooo good. Crushed ice was a great touch and the flavors went together perfectly.
