Hibernia Diner

This is easily my favorite diner in New Jersey. The food is always amazing. And yes, it’s even worth sitting in the I-80 sinkhole traffic for it. The chicken parmigiana on ciabatta is my favorite dish by far. The short rib grilled cheese is also really good, as are the cheeseburgers, a New Jersey diner staple. Charlie and Kiera are the absolute best, either one will take good care of you! 3/6/2026: They’ve got these drunken chicken specials in various styles and they’re absolutely delicious. It’s a must try!

BreakFast All Day....means Reheated Hash Browns & warm steak. Meatloaf wasn't much better either. Aside from Humberto's service and Attentiveness it would have been 2stars

The food was absolutely amazing, and the atmosphere was just as good — cozy, welcoming, and full of character. Everything we ordered was delicious and clearly made with care. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. From the food to the vibe to the people, this place really gets it right. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re nearby — we’ll definitely be back!

Our family goes to this diner a lot, just to have a meal and sometimes for celebrations. We love Hibernia Diner! They are always nice and the food is great! Their French onion soup is literally the best around, and many other food items are excellent. I had the soup and shrimp scampi with penne and it was delicious!

I'm very happy with the breakfast that I received. Server Weal was fantastic and respectful. Was very attentive to us. Asked for tea and brought two cups with tea bags and brought a tea kettle as well. Food was very good too. Eggs Taylor ham or pork roll with Rye toast. Potatoes pan cakes with bacon. Cooked perfectly.
