HFR Contemporary Kitchen & Bar

On a whim we sstopped in here for a quick bite to eat. We started by sharing the shrimp tostada among the three of us - very much like cevichi - really awesome for a hot summer day or evening - went well with Peroni. We then each ordered separate meals - steak tacos, tataki salad and BBQ Hawiian burger. Really good across the board. Restaurant has a chill vibe and staff were super polite and timely. The whole thing exceed our expectations, we will be back to sample the menu.

HFR is a Latin-Inspired restaurant with a real CHEF! Not a cook. The food is truly delicious with a marvelously upscale presentation. Ever seen an avocado and grape tomato volcano surrounded by shrimp? What a treat! Park across the street in the public parking by the Cheese Shop and use the crosswalk to get across the street. HFR (Happy Family Ranch) is in the Lord Culpeper. Get ready to be wow'ed and well treated. Have a drink. Relax. Enjoy. Repeat.

If you want attention to detail, come here. There is thought and care in every item we ordered. Everything from placement and service was on point. The food is sooooo good! Thank you for a wonderful dinning experience! ❤️

The food was fantastic. Sooooo good. I am still dreaming about the food from the sof opening. And those ribs! Yummyness! The service is amazing. I am definitely going back for more. Specially if they are making tostones. 😁🥰

Went there for dinner Thursday 09-30 2025. Five of us ordered the Ribeye. Every person's steak was cooked perfectly, and this was the BEST beef that I have had, since moving to Virginia. The appetizers, (shrimp and calamari was out of this world). Highly reccomend that you give them a try for your next meal out.
