Hellertown Diner

The Hellertown Diner never disappoints! Had their special today, banana bread French toast, and it was amazing! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a good Sunday breakfast!

Here's the deal: I could comment on the food, service, etc. However, I must give the lowest possible rating because of shady business practices. I went here twice with my partner, and each time we ordered something different, so the bill was a different amount (pictured). However, we were charged a phantom two cents on the bill! In the photos, add the subtotal and the tax and compare to the "discounted cash total" -- there's a two cent variance! Can I afford it? Yes. Can you afford it? Yes. But if everybody that walks through the door is charged this fraudulent price-up, this place of business has earned a few extra hundred bucks a month. Additionally, they do not explicitly say the credit card surcharge percentage, but it's 4%, well above the 3% that credit card companies charge businesse

The meal was excellent, and we appreciate your service. Please be patient with the staff during busy periods, as they are working diligently to accommodate everyone.

My mom and step dad love this place. My son and I joined them the day after Christmas. Though they were quite busy the service was great, the waitress was super friendly and the food was fast and delicious! Our waitress was Beth B and she was so friendly, quick, accurate and anticipated our needs. My son said she read his mind assuring us our food would be done soon and when he accidentally spilled some syrup she brought us napkins she even brought a damp one for him. She was amazing! The food was delicious and a great price. To quote my son the food was “bussin bussin”, the pancakes had a good texture and the homefries were so good. We also used the restroom which was a good size, it looked and smelled clean and was well stocked. Overall excellent experience!!

It’s a diner, and they do what diners do best. Abroad selection of menu items to fulfill everyone’s taste, great service, and reasonable prices. If you’re looking for a life-changing culinary event, this is not the place to go. It was good food, albeit standard quality restaurant supply house ingredients. Two of us had Panini’s with french fries on the side., One with chicken strips and french fries on the side. The fries were good. The sandwiches were less outstanding. One of us had a Swiss mushroom hamburger. It was an average hamburger, nothing special. The service was very good. Although some of the waitresses were middle aged they were zipping around like a 16-year-old after a can of Red Bull. A good staple of the Hellertown dining scene.
