Healthy You Cafe

We found Healthy You Cafe while searching for a caterer for my baby shower, and I am SO happy that we did. I will be recommending them to anyone who needs catering for an event. I really wanted to do brunch, and they worked with us to create a menu that fit my dietary restrictions without making me feel like I had to sacrifice anything I wanted. We had the BEST quiches (both regular, gluten, and dairy-free options), French toast cups, fruit, sausage, and bacon. Every single bite was delicious, which says a lot coming from a pregnant girl who hasn’t been able to eat much this entire pregnancy, lol! I even went back for seconds!! I was not aware of this place until pretty recently. i ordered the Henny-Penny wrap, which is grilled chicken, spring mix, carrots, cucumber, dried cranberries, sunflower seeds, jack cheese with Italian dressing. It’s like a grilled chicken salad wrapped in tortilla and it’s tremendous. The house chips? Perfectly crispy and light. I ordered online, but picked up some FIVE DOLLAR pre-made meals and it also happened to be BOGO açaí bowls the day that I went, so I picked up two of those. I threw ‘em in the freezer when I got home. Excited to have one for breakfast tomorrow. 😋 The only part about this place I don’t like is the hours, because I’d love if they were open for dinner and on weekends! Tasha does a great job with catering events. She did well at the PA Proudly Event, and then again for my sisters wedding send off brunch! Would highly recommend. Set up and clean up is a breeze and she provides all the food and even has beautiful decorations and signage. I even ran out of food and she was able to bring some additional items in between the event. Will teach me to order extra for the next event!

Located inside of the insurance company building. Lite bite options: smoothies, fruit bowls, soup, snacks. Very quiet and has high top tables as well as a more cozy corner with chairs so it’s a good place for studying or working! They did not have menus or descriptions of anything, just names, so the cashier was nice and brought out the paper they keep in the kitchen with all of the descriptions of the things I was interested in. I was underwhelmed by the flavors of the items I decided on (a fall flavored smoothie and lemon turkey soup), but will definitely return to try more. I also like that they have meal prep options available.

I want to love these guys but there’s just some minor details that sorta make me balk at what I’m being served. Ordered an egg blt today and though half of the sandwich was delicious, the lettuce tomato was horrid. My egg was cooked perfectly and the turkey bacon is turkey bacon however, the sandwich seemed to have gone through some sort of panini press with the lettuce and tomato inside of it which, as you would expect, caused the lettuce to wilt, and tomato be a sloppy smear on my sandwich, and none of that complimenting the taste whatsoever. At 8$ a pop on average for food items, I can’t continue to support the business unless the recipes are refined to more accurately portray the delicious menu they have.
