Hazel River Inn

I had a wonderful stay there on Oct. 31st. I didn't have dinner there but breakfast, made by Peter, was delicious. Karen was so welcoming and friendly and I slept like a baby in the rural quiet. The setting is nature itself in the gently rolling hills of Virginia. I'll return!

We stayed in the cottage on December 6, 2025, during the first Truffle Hunt of the season at nearby Virginia Truffles. The cottage was warm, comfortable and cozy…perfect accommodations for us four. The dinner and breakfast the following morning were absolutely delicious and beautifully plated…arrive hungry. The homemade raspberry jam was divine…

The hazel river Inn is my favorite place. The vibe is low key, the plants are amazing, and the food is to die for. If you take the time to get to know the owners you are in for a treat. Anyone who gives this place less than a five star rating is miserable.

Lovely B&B in a super location. The hosts are really friendly and the food is great - one of the hosts is an experience, professional chef. We were only able to have breakfast but it was so tasty. One of us has gluten allergy and it was no big deal to them to accommodate it. We'll definitely be back and next time we'll have dinner there at their reservation-only Chef's Table.

We had a truffle themed four course dinner at Hazel River Inn with our four friends. Each course was exceptional and the Chef previously worked at the White House for Reagan. His wife is the hostess and so friendly. The house is beautiful and it was a perfect overnight stay! We will definitely be back and highly recommend this charming B&B!
