Haven By The Sea B & B with fabulous views of the ocean in Wells,Maine was a wonderful way to spend Valentine’s Day. The owner greeted me with a red rose and warm hospitality, super sweet! Our King Suite was comfortable, cozy. Each common room features a fireplace, tastefully decorated with special attention to details. There is a library and a host of board games. The Inn was full and my husband and I made many new friends. Breakfast was spectacular.. featured many delicious choices. They also offer Happy Hour. Run by a very friendly, hospitable family. We will definitely be returning. Treat your family to this B & B.. Highly recommend!

Haven is still a beautiful, charming, comfortable and relaxing place by the sea: a place worth returning to. Some of the highlights: the amazing, vaulted ceilings; the cozy common rooms; the rear deck with tables overlooking the marsh; the bright, wide open dining area, which is a nice place to relax, day or night. Room #7 was pleasant and homey, with comfortable bedding. Denise and Brenda were friendly and hospitable. Fresh berries, local pastries and great coffee made a lovely breakfast. The location is outstanding, but the interior is extraordinary!

We are returning guests. Our first visit since the new owners. We came for Valentine’s Day weekend!! We were greeted with champagne and a long stem red rose. Beautiful start to the weekend!! The new owners are wonderful!! We had our favorite room and it was clean and comfortable and perfect!!! Still need to get use to the new door locks. We had a very nice happy hour visit with wine and drinks!! We were joined by the owners and guests !! It was really nice meeting new people in such warm and comfortable sitting room !! Breakfast the next morning was excellent!! We truly enjoyed our stay and definitely will be back!!

My two dogs and I had the loveliest, most peaceful, cozy and relaxing weekend at this true Haven by the Sea. Its impeccably clean room, comfortable bed and linens, use of spa bathrobes, working propane fireplace, and deep spa tub all made for extra touches that charmed. And its in-room fridge made taking leftovers or chilled wine a breeze. There are thoughtful recreational offerings available in the common areas, such as board games and books, plus the kind of holiday decor that makes you think you tripped, fell, and woke up in a Hallmark holiday movie. Be aware there’s no hot breakfast or active bar served at this B&B in the winter off-season, nor much in the way of visible staff. The bed and breakfast decor is 80’s, dated and dark. Our suite included bedroom and sitting area. It had dated lighting; overall very dark. As we entered, there was a musty smell. Bedding was old-fashioned, dark and scratchy comforter that probably hadn’t been cleaned in months. Thankfully there were white sheets but were a low thread count. Rugs were floral and dirty. Rollaway cart that needed to be set up by ourselves for my teenage son. I was pleased that the pedestal sink and toilet were newly replaced. Very small space for bathroom and open tub outside of bath in the sitting area (?)! |This was originally a church. It should have remained that way. Breakfast was decent. We came in high season but $400/night not worth the price.
