Happy Wok

Been going here for 30 years, the food has not changed one bit and that's a good thing. It is delicious (and now, nostalgic). I do not live in the area anymore but every time I do come back and have a chance, I get their two entree combo with half chow mein half fried rice. My go-to is their orange chicken, pepper beef, jalepeno chicken, mushroom chicken, and their beef broccoli can't go wrong. (The kung pao chicken is best at Fusion Bowl in Eagle Rock, sorry Happy Wok). They are somehow slow to change against inflation so its still relatively cheap, especially how generous the portions are. Service is quick and efficient. I basically feel guilty if I don't tip them. Ample dining room. Gets packed during meal time hours and line sometimes out the door. Don't change, Happy Wok. Bring cash

Located on Hacienda Blvd & Glendora Ave in the Hacienda Plaza by CVS with plenty of parking. Growing up in LP, this was a favorite for our family when it came to Chinese food. We've been coming here since the 90's and still love it. Same great genuine service and yummy food. Portions are very generous and do not compare with any other place I've tried. My favorite entree here has been their BBQ Pork and Orange Chicken, but honestly, I've enjoyed all their entrees. They also have party trays available for events. It has always been a great experience at Happy Wok, and I will continue to enjoy my childhood favorite place when in town.

Food was pretty spot on with the service. The atmosphere on the other hand was a bit off. Know that you can only pay in cash. If you're new, people will rudely stare you down until you make an order or just cut ahead. Workers are pretty on point with getting your food fast with good portions. I felt uncomfortable ordering food to the point that I took mine to go. If you got some decent change, give this place a try. Decently traditional Chinese food.

Good service, but food was just okay. Orange chicken was overcooked.
