Happy Star Restaurant

Order takeout from here order two orders of General Tso's chicken. it was more like sweet and sour with some hot sauce in it. One was supposed to have broccoli they gave me two pieces of broccoli. I do have to say the egg rolls were good.

I stopped in for take out. Chicken and Broccoli and white rice. Good and Prompt service. Good price. Very Good food. Polite and friendly and hard working people. I like to support Small businesses.

I love to get delivery from here at least once a week. The General Tso Tofu is a delicious vegetarian dish! Fair prices and thorough service from a very polite and thoughtful staff.

UPDATE From 02/26/2026 Unfortunately, I have to downgrade my review and I will no longer be ordering from Happy Star. Their consistency is not there anymore. The last 3 times I ordered from there, I got charged more than the listed price. Not sure if they throw a random credit card fee or what. This last order, I got charged the food price +6% tax, but then on top of that I also got charged + another 5.5%. This “special” Happy Star “tax” third time in a row was over the top for me. Unfortunately, I am not supporting a business that adds random charges or adds a hidden fee. Food prepared was quick, but not careful. The attached photo revealed large collection of“ uncooked onions making the majority of my house special chow mein. I will go someplace else next time.
