Hank's At Dayton

I stopped in for a brisket plate, you know when you have to have some BBQ meat. It was excellent, I got the Brisket platter with baked beans and mac and cheese and a drink. Hanks is always awesome. Both Locations. They catered my daughters wedding and it was so affordable and delicious.

The restaurant closes at 6pm. I arrived at 5 and they were closed. There were 2 people there and knowing they weren't supposed to close for an hour I walk up and ask for the four person family pack. Im told that I have to get my food from pre-packaged containers in a refrigerator. They had greens, calico beans and coleslaw to choose from. I ask about getting Mac and cheese and was told "we are closed. We'll, we are closing" this was an hour before they closed. I get the containers only because I didnt want to go anywhere else. Then when I ask about getting sauce cups she said we have to buy bottles. The little girl who seemed to be in training said "the cups over there are free" the older of the two looked like she could shoot daggers from her eyes. "I said well, maybe we wont get food fro

I definitely like coming to this restaurant because the food is absolutely amazing and tastes wonderful and the prices are very affordable. The employees here are definitely very friendly and fun to be around also, and treat you with very good manners. It is just too darn bad that they do not have a big chain of these around the country, because they would definitely compete with others and probably put them out of business.

BBQ pork sandwich I had was ok , wish it was slightly bigger , other half had the combo double whammy , wasn't hungry but filled me up..guy forgot to put the BBQ sauces outside ,but we just got there as it opened, so no biggy

What a WONDERFUL surprise. Everything I had was fabulous! I am a BBQ snob. My son runs a BBQ joint and I drive a charter bus. I seek out BBQ joints everywhere I go. Hank's is fantastic! I realize everyone has a different idea of what BBQ is but theirs pushed ALL my buttons. The brisket was as good as any I have tried and the pork was hands down, the BEST I have had so far! Not too easy to find, but well worth the effort. Loved the atmosphere and the staff was AWESOME.
