Handel's Homemade Ice Cream

The ice cream was good. The establishment need some work. The bathrooms were completely extremely dirty no tissue. The restaurant was dirty. The workers were OK. They were out of like so many ice cream flavors that I couldn’t get the one that I wanted. I had to choose from what they had. I got some kind of hot fudge brownie with ice cream on top and I asked for the brownie to be hot. I don’t know how they warmed it up but I didn’t get a hot brownie. I don’t think I’m willing to try this place again, but I did like the ice cream. It was pretty flavorful. They do have outside tables to relax and eat your sweet treats. This is hands down, without a doubt the best ice cream you will eat in the area. Maybe in the state. Sounds exaggerated but we’ve tried tons of ice cream shops from Carolina beach NC, to Sevierville TN, and Charlotte down to Anna Maria island FL. This is our favorite, and we are regular customers! Biggest selection of flavors I’ve ever seen, fast service, tastiest ice cream, and its always consistent. Our favorite flavors are pineapple upside down cake, and lemon bar. I give only 4 stars because of our last visit, which was today. We always get our 4 year old a “baby scoop” because she usually doesn’t finish a regular size scoop and it goes to waste. We were told that we couldn’t get the baby scoop because our child wasn’t 2 years old. So we said that we would pay for a baby scoop because

Large list of flavors, including unique ones. They offer a variety options, including a sample that I thought was pretty great! They do allow you taste test before you commit to a flavor.

It’s clean. Kids working are nice. Ordered banana shake out of banana ice cream. Ordered a scoop of mud pie. Can’t have that either. All out. I get it. It’s busy. Help the customers out by letting them know on your digital board so they don’t have to scramble at the register when ordering. Seems simple enough.

This place is awesome! There’s SO many flavors and treats to choose from it will blow your mind! I got a bunch of ice cream sandwiches- which are giant Oreo cookies with one scoop of ice cream between- you choose the ice cream flavor. I got peanut butter brownie for myself, sampled the cotton candy and birthday cake flavors from my kids’- they were all exceptional in terms of flavor and quality. I’ll certainly be back subs recommend that you do the same!
