Downstairs Ice Cream

Normally I don't post poor reviews, but this was terrible customer service. Came into this establishment , never been before, looking to get my kids a Saturday treat. Not once was greeted or even acknowledged. Stood in front of the lady running this business and she continued to look past me as if she was ignoring me and my family. She finally asked what we wanted. I expect, when walking into a business, to be greeted or ask if any questions with menu. It honestly felt like we were a bother to her walking into this business. We had never been before and wasn't aware you could try samples or if there were cones available or just bowls. Thinking maybe she was having a bad day, was willing to let this slide until other customers came in and her attitude completely changed. She greeted them, w

They put the extra cream in ice cream! The flavors taste D i v i n e !! Son loved the cookies & cream, strawberry had real fruit pieces in it, my favorite was double chocolate which happened to pair just fine with their brown butter pecan, I believe is the flavor. Insanely delicious. I have a feeling we will be a fan of their cotton candy cloud on our next visit when they’re open again next year. Good to know they close seasonally for the winter. The bonus was that we loved that lids were offered so friendly here. No side eyes or quirky shirts about it-go figure. Fun fact - Lebron James can be spotted on the wall!

Fantastic ice cream right on Main Street Gastonia. Lots of great flavors that are all worth trying. Rotational flavors every month and by availability of locally sourced ingredients. The milk comes from a local dairy as well and you can really taste it in the quality of the ice cream compared to the other chain places around. The owner is super nice, welcoming, and will answer any questions you have. Definitely a new regular ice cream place for me.

We absolutely love this ice cream shop! My 5 year old recommends the vanilla bean. The owners are so nice, and it's the cutest place. Nice addition to downtown Gastonia. The mango dairy free option was amazing for me as well.

I love this place. "Downstairs" because the actual store is literally downstairs. Great atmosphere. The staff is friendly with great customer service. The waffle cones.......I have never had anything like them. They always seem to be freshly made and taste amazing. The ice cream....I have not had a flavor that I didn't thoroughly enjoy. You have got to try this spot. You won't be disappointed.
