Hana Japanese Restaurant

i decided to go for sushi in honor of my cat sushi’s 17th birthday. Luckily for me, Hana is the closest sushi restaurant to where I live, beyond proximity the food is amazing. Their ethos for sake is fascinating, their sushi is fresh and their specials are tantalizing. Vegan options aplenty.

Hana did not disappoint, as we were recommended this place by multiple people. We ordered the chawanmushi, a variety of nigiri, spicy edamame, maitake, shumai, finished off with the cheesecake & black sesame icecream. Everything tasted fresh. Can’t wait to come back.

Amazing Family-Owned and operated restaurant with some of the best Japanese food in Northern California. It's been a couple years since I have been to Hana, and thankfully that is no longer the case. I am a huge fan of classic sushi, and Hana does an amazing job with the quality of their fish and presentation, but I am almost as excited about the unique twists and hot Japanese dishes that they do here. The Happy Spoon with Uni, Oyster, Ikura and Tobiko with a Ponzu Creme Fraiche is a happy indulgent way to start your meal. The Egg of Paradise with the Soft Poached Egg, Cold Dashi Broth, Uni and Ikura is a delicate balance of refreshing and rich. The classic Chawnmushi is the thing that I dream about and will try to replicate for the rest of my life. Savory Egg and Dasho Custard with Fish

Solid food in a very nice setting in wine country, from the delicious sushi (fantastic salmon and uni) and Japanese comfort food like okonomiyaki, to crab cakes and hand rolls. Sake and wine selection is impressive, and service at the bar was perfect. While their food is not life changing, Hana is excellent all around.

Good service and nice staffs. Food are delicious and worth the price. Sashimi is fresh smooth and rich. Shushi rice is exactly balance, not too sticky not too hard, which is not easy. I think those are all very important for Japanese cuisine. Besides of that, environment is soft and relax. I recommand to order the chef's recommandation set which is around $100. Appetizer I would recommand the egg with uni and sauce (I forgot the name).
