Hamlin Community Library

Needing to apply for a passport brought me to the Hamlin Library. First, the process for that was straightforward and the staff member Jaclyn was pleasant and very helpful. As a voracious reader for my entire life I decided to get a library card as well. The volunteers upstairs were also extremely helpful. The library itself is beautiful with some little nooks here and there where you can sit and read. They have computers for internet access, a little k-cup coffee station, baskets of snacks... I'll definitely be back and, if I can find the time, maybe volunteer.

They did passport processing and I was very surprised how easy it was because of the very knowledgeable, professional and personal service given by the Hamlin Community Library workers. Thank You.

I went to get my passport, and both the ladies working were extremely helpful and friendly. I hadn't been there in eight years, but the environment of the library was almost as if I was catching up with old friends. Absolutely an amazing place to be! Thanks again to the staff!! EDIT: I just read the review below mine after posting and it's hilarious how they said the same thing about catching up with old friends! That consistency is what must make the place so special.

The Hamlin Community Library is a beautiful space. I've been with this library since it was in the smaller building. I've watched it evolve to what it is now -- a wonderful community hub with many resources and a lot of smiling faces! The joyous sounds of children enjoying books has to be my favorite. There always seems to be a little circle going on when I stop by. Most recently I entrusted The Hamlin Community Library with my passport application. Jackie was very informative, helpful, and kind during the process. (The first time I came in I was extremely ill-prepared. She treated me with compassion and helped instead of judging.) I appreciate her and all the other women that make the library a special place!

Passport application was quick and easy - staff was super knowledgeable and friendly. Couldn’t recommend them more!
