My husband surprised me by taking me to our first Ethiopian restaurant and it was frankly amazingly delicious. There was a bit of a wait because we called in to say we were running late for our reservation, but the two ladies that manage the restaurant had such warm auras about them and the place just smelled damn good. They were super busy running around helping everyone, but seemed to always be in good spirits when we asked for stuff. They took our order while we waited because some of the meat dishes take time, and by the time we were seated it was just a little while until it all came out. We enjoyed the honey wine, which had a pleasant and mild taste. We also ordered the lamb, one of the beef, and 4 veggies that came with it. ALL . OF . IT. was delicious and flavorful. We tore that pl
MAKE SURE TO CALL FOR A RESERVATION!! This place was SOOO delicious!!! We started with the Timatim Fitfit and it was very refreshing to start out with. And for the main course we had the Meat and Vegetarian combination dish and it was so filling. honestly we might have been able to split one serving instead of two 😅 Thank you Haile Cuisine!!! 🩷🩷🩷
It was very delicious and filling! Service was slow. We walked in on a Friday night, but they only seat full parties. The tea was lovely. You get to try so much of the menu because each meal comes with many of the plates. Vegetarian and meat plates! The lamb was the best part by far!!
Id never had Ethiopian food before. Definitely will be going back! The host was amazing, we asked her to recommend the best dishes. She brought us a combination of lamb, beef, chicken, and a few veggies. They serve it with traditional Ethiopian bread, which doubles as your eating utensils. Great service, great food, great place.
Ethiopian food is my favorite, so i've checked out several spots in nyc. Haile is definitely my favorite. The food is really delicious, and i find that the injera here is the best i've had in the city. Big portions at a reasonable price too. The ladies are super sweat and the place is quaint.
