Hacienda Heights Library

There is a very mean staff member here, and at least 10 parents agree with this. My wife took our child to return a book. There was a tiny spot of modeling clay on the book cover. The staff member could have spoken to my wife, but instead she stopped my child in the middle of the shelves, scolded my child, and demanded that we buy the book. My child used to love this library and went almost every week. After this experience, my child no longer wants to go. I filed a complaint and received a very polished, very official response that did not actually address the situation.

3.5 Stars Like many reviewers mentioned yes, this is a neighborhood library, I arrived on a tuesday around noon and to my suprise it was quite busy since its a small library most of the tables were taken and people are not down to share lol, I had to sit in the children's area and it was a bit loud but it wasn't too bad. I didn't come to look at books or use there computer, I was here to food blog/review so I guess you can say its not that bad

Rules were absolutely horrible. You can't even stand up to help someone or a friend. Can't even wait on the porch. There is almost never seats ever. I expected a relaxing study not some place to keep being bothered by employees. At least add more chairs and seating!

A perfect small library, very quiet, not ever too busy, and a nice selection of books. They have many categories of books, but if you go to find a specific book, you may not find it. The book request system does fix that issue, which is fast and simple ; as many books you order arrive at the library within a few days( ordered 3 came in 3 days). They also have a system for people under 21 to pay off debts if you read inside of the library, which is nice. The library itself has a good portion of the library just for kids books, but as other reviews imply, noisy kids aren't too welcome it appears. 5 stars 😀 new security, even though it's a small library, to help people feel more safe.

It's such a nice library. A very relaxing setting. A great selection of books, CDs, and videos. The environment is peaceful and soothing. I have a lot of great memories coming here after school, and the printer here has saved my bacon many, many times. The staff here is very courteous, and helpful. I don't know why there is now security at the entrance, but I guess that is the sad state of modern life.
