H-E-B Grocery Curbside Pickup

Update 1/3/2019 - Upgraded 1 star to 3 stars. Have not had to wait since this post (5 minutes max). Items are still being forgotten every now and then. I would say we go once a week and they forget something once every 2 months. They always graciously fix the problem of missing bags, but its a hassle to go back up there. If they mess up, they should deliver the missing items. I am paying a premium price for the food and a service charge, so HEB eat some profit and deliver my missing stuff. Service and explanation is getting better...they actually walk up to your window instead of shouting from the sliding doors and they are 90% of the time remembering to go over any substitutions. I was skeptical at first, but I have specifically used the delivery service for a few months now, and it is WORTH THE PRICE! I love having an extra two hours of my Sunday back to do other things instead of battling everyone else in the crowded grocery store on a Sunday. I travel frequently, and it's also convenient to have them delivered when I'm tired after a day of traveling, instead squeezing in time to shop for the week, or end up ordering out a bunch of days. The delivery drivers are very kind. My only complaint is sometimes when I order crunchy tortillas, or chips, they come broken. Also, every now and then they forget one or even two things. I simply call HEB though, and they refund my money.

This service has saved so much time. I have been very pleased with my personal shopper's selections, the orders have been very accurate and I can run a list online until I am ready to close the purchase. I have been able to schedule a convenient time to pick up my items and the staff assists loading my car.

Ok I have used this service before, this time however I discovered broken eggs before I accepted my order. The young man took the carton back in to check the others then brought them back out to me. I get home only to discover that I have 6 eggs that are not broken. I called back to the store, the manager stated that they would credit me for the eggs.....well I am still waiting for the credit. Guess what, they are still waiting for the next time I will shop HEB. I love saving money, but was this a savings? Nope not to me.

It's OK. It seems to take quite a long time which is not what I expected. The girl could not find any orders with my last name. Had to get the order number and she repeated it back wrong. Then she found it. Used to there was always an item missing from my order but that has gotten better. The guy who helped her load was very kind and upbeat.
