★★★★★ 5.0 The Flannel Camper · Feb 2026

It has been a while since we last had eaten here. No reason, just not close to where we live. We were worried the place would not return or drastically change after being sold. So glad we went back. We were greeted by friendly staff and taken to our table. The place still has that rustic feel inside. The menu was a little smaller than we remembered but they still had the classics that made us fans in the first place. I must say, the food was always wonderful, but this time it tasted even better. We started off with the famous Rheinlander fondue and a bowl of Bier onion soup. For the main course my wife got the Hungarian Jager Schnitzel and I opted for the Bavarian Feast, it was truly out of this world. All throughout our meal, different staff would stop by and ask if we needed anything or

It was slooooowwww. We came for lunch and it was at least 15 minutes before we even had drinks. Food came out 30 minutes after that. All said and done we were there for over an hour and they were mostly empty on a Saturday afternoon. The place is super cute and fun. It is loud and leaned in hard on the theme, but I loved it. The food was mid. It didn't seem super authentic, but then we stuck with the more mainstream, American type of dishes. The fondue was a little thick and heavy for my taste. It would have been nice to have some mustard to cut it with. The sour kraut isn't sour enough for my taste, but overall we enjoyed the Ruben. The fries were supposed to be truffle, but they either forgot, or they mixed up the truffle with the rosemary. An interesting flavor that I ended up liking.

If it was an option this place would have 6 stars! The food: 11/10 The service: 10/10 The vibes: 12/10 This place is about as close to authentic as you can get. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by the amazing German architecture and decorations. The staff is super friendly, giving food recommendations and advice as well. The fondue is 110% worth it. The cheese is heavenly, don’t skip it. So many delicious options to choose from as well, it will be on the list for round #2 for sure.

This place is absolutely adorable. Its an experience by itself. All of the food we ordered was yummy. Some portions were enormous and some portions were not. We all liked the food well enough. Server was wonderful. We would be back. The only thing id love is a visual menu because I had to Google half the items to see what they were.

We went for the first time to celebrate my husband's 55 birthday. The food was delicious (shared a Bavarian Feast) and I am super picky about my German food. The service was excellent. They had a card ready for him, brought out a dessert with candle and even saved my box up front for me when I forgot our leftovers. We will be returning every time I'm in the mood for German. The picture is half of a Bavarian Feast.
