I stopped into a tire and brake place in Asheville on my way back from visiting my dad and brother for Thanksgiving. I wanted to solicit for a local place in Asheville that would have some really good food. I was recommended this restaurant. The guy working the counter at the tire shop said that he drives 30 miles out to this place at least once a week to eat, because it's that good. And I'd have to agree! The atmosphere was amazing! They have these cool covered booths in the middle of the restaurant. The service was incredibly personal (I forget the woman's name who was serving me, but she made me feel like I was part of her family). The salsa was seemingly never ending (check out the pictures). Outstanding meal and a must-visit in Maggie Valley! Guayabitos was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The food, service, and overall experience exceeded our expectations. I had the Chile Verde, and it was phenomenal—tender pork, rich flavor, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made with care. One of the best versions of this dish I’ve had anywhere. My wife ordered the Tampiqueña Ribeye, which was outstanding. The steak was cooked perfectly, juicy and flavorful, and paired beautifully with the traditional sides. You could tell real thought went into balancing the plate. Our daughter had the Mexican Ribeye Steak, and it was just as impressive—perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and completely devoured. Awesome place for a good Mexican meal. However, know that there is no sign on the physical building. Just a billboard. A hopping place, for sure. Great for parties and get togethers. Seating is rather tight. The staff are friendly, quick, and sometimes makes some jokes, so it feels real welcoming. Give this place a go. Order a margaritta, too!

Food was alright. Never had a burrito prepared like they do here, but then again we’re in Maggie valley. Food was seasoned alight. Your typical you’d find in the area I guess, lettuce, melted cheese in everything. Free chips and salsa. Prices ok. Really small place, entrance crowded. Pretty busy place.

The staff here is fantastic. They are right on top of everything. It was really busy but it didn't take long at all to get our food. I had the beef chimichanga and it was excellent. The taco salad was huge and the burrito was awesome too. The center tables are a little to close together. I recommend waiting for a booth.
