Groton Publick House

We stopped in this afternoon for some beers and chicken sandwiches. We sat at the bar and the service was excellent! The bartender was attentive and helpful. The sandwiches, as always, were delicious! Plenty of French fries and onion rings as sides. As we were heading out, we bumped into the owner. Chatted for a few minutes. She is warm, genuine, the kind of person who makes you feel like a regular even when you haven’t been in a while. So lucky to have this little gem in Groton!

Stumbled across a golden little nugget off the beaten track. Visiting family a few days before Christmas. Never knew the place existed. Everything was terrific. Friendly service and atmosphere. The baked haddock was absolutely delicious. Perfect. I don't do ratings much but it was such a pleasant experience I felt obliged to do this one.

We came in with a large party over 30 people there was another large party there as well. Service spectacular food amazing! I went into the kitchen after to tell them they killed it!! Fantastic job!

well this place has been here for a while with some different titles, next to the local golf course, not to big, bar and seating and an outside dining area also....ate at the bar which became sort of packed, actually it got pretty busy here so popular locally, drinks were interesting and good, food was very good, we had a nice salad and the fish and chips and enjoyed both, both a little pricey but that seems hard to escape these days, service was pleasant, place got very noisy. but we enjoyed the meal....

There aren't a ton of options in this area, so we tried this place. It was pretty good, and I can tell it's a local favorite as there were lots of people that knew the servers. Decent selection of draft beers and it mostly consists of typical bar fare. I just thought the burger was ok, but the fries were pretty tasty.
