Greenwood Public Library

I love this library! All the staff I’ve interacted with have been helpful. The bathrooms are clean, there’s a nice children’s section with a train table, and I love their labeling system for the picture books. It’s so much easier to find seasonal books or books about animals, etc, just by doing a quick check of the spine. Not to mention, a coffee shop and playground are within walking distance. Every sleep deprived mom’s dream combo!

A lot of the staff now is hateful. Once I followed a child who ran in first excited. By the time I got to the door I was met by an employee who hatefully informed me that kids are NOT allowed in there w o an adult. I said I was behind him. She said I had to enter first. She was getting ready to tell him to leave. When I was a child I was never told to leave -I went by myself and everyone was very nice. The employees are always complaining about something too -extremely unhappy crew. I can understand why people are lieaving for other libraries! I like Bridgeville and Georgetown more and the kids LOVE ❤️ Georgetown library

This review isn't what you'd normally expect in a review of a branch library.  I didn't go inside. I do all my reading from a digital library. My wife needed to use the bathroom while we were passing through Greenwood, DE on the way to the beach. She tells me the library was neat and clean. The librarian was friendly, and the bathroom was clean. I stayed outside and took pictures of the picturesque little train station in the library's parking lot. I doubt that any trains actually stop here, but they keep the station clean.

Everyone is Always very friendly. We have been here several times and have been helped by several different people. I feel like they go beyond just helping your questions though they offer additional info you may not even think to request. I am thankful there are still places around like this.

We love the Greenwood Public Library! Story time is a weekly favorite, and the staff is so kind, helpful, and incredibly patient with my loud toddlers (because let’s be real—quiet and toddlers don’t mix). The space is clean, welcoming, and they’ve truly thought of everything. It’s our happy place!
