Greendance The Winery at Sand Hill

Me and my out of town friend did our winery tour in the area and this was super close to home. I am a fan of their grounds and outdoor space, although it does give an unkempt feel to it. No pics because it rained real hard after we arrived and couldn’t really sit outside. Didn’t learn anything about the wines but that’s ok, we grabbed a bottle and hung out until it stopped raining.

We visited the Greendance on our way to Seven springs and loved it. There are sheep for our toddler to look at, a farm shop, café and winery. The garden is relaxing and the staff were incredibly friendly. We will be back!

Nice location and outside atmosphere. Food choices are slim, but delicious! Shop did not have a lot of merchandise, but what they did have was cute! Nate was the best part of this place; he is an amazing Sommelier! He was so courteous, friendly, and great to talk too - Really knew what he was doing and the wine!!!! Ladies behind the counter at checkout weren’t overly friendly, a little on the rude side. Also the gentleman who directed us to park yelled at me that I couldn’t smuggle outside food in (I have a backpack I use as a “murse”) before we even entered. It was kind of off putting… I offered to let him search my backpack but he said no.

Absolutely incredible experience! We've visited many times and decided to have our wedding reception here. Amy and her staff were amazing to work with, the tent was perfect, and the wine, oh the wine! If you're looking for a winery reception you should consider having your wedding here. Gorgeous! You won't regret it!

Overall: the best winery in the region - hands-down! Greendance has excellent local wine and the best atmosphere for a relaxing weekend (or whatever). Forget about the wine for a minute... there's SO MUCH MORE going on at this place. My family started going here many years ago when the winery was a relatively new addition to the already-established berry farm. You have the well-known Sandhill Berry farm with a full bakery/retail operation, the winery with an excellent and diverse selection, the FULL-TIME restaurant-quality food service including dessert, the regularly-scheduled live music and ample seating, an outdoor wedding area in the woods on the farm hillside, and a great private party location.
