Great Wall Restaurant

This is the best Chinese food ever. My husband and I go there all the time. They have been around forever and you can tell because they have amazing experience and skills in the kitchen. The people over the counter are always so nice, helpful, and caring. The moment you walk in you smell the delicious flavors and start thinking what order you might want next time. This place is consistently good. I love to get the chicken broccoli with garlic sauce and white rice and my husband loves getting the chicken broccoli with white sauce and pork fried rice. Before we were married he lived in Long Island where they did a white garlic sauce that he loved and he says that Great Wall does a great job at replicating that. Picked up 3 dishes, ordered personally in the rest to make sure there was no MSG or too much soy sauve. Singapore Noodles was excellent. Garlic Chicken with white rice was terrible. Rice was old, reheated, not fresh. Chicken was also not fresh, previously cooked and frozen. Chow Fun was acceptable. They do no use fresh ingedients.

They accept way too many orders at once. Because of this, they take the phone off the hook and lead you on for 2+ hours. I feel so guilty for trusting them on Christmas Eve! Ruined our family dinner. Please do not accept orders if you do not have the capacity to make them.

Well it is take-out so atmosphere doesn't count. The people at the take-out counter were friendly and pleasant. I had sweet and sour chicken. The last time I ordered take-out I think the sauce had a lot more vegetables in it and I think I got more sauce.

I go there for takeout. The food and service is top notch, the setting not so much, but they do let me play the piano while I wait. If I have gig or get out of work late, they are a wonderful and healthy option to not cooking.
