Great Northern BBQ Co

Cool vibe and amazing barbecue. Had the smoked wings with a special buffalo/beet sauce. Hot and sweet. The wings are great just as is. We also got a side of burnt ends and their brisket nachos. Both were great. Glad we found this place because of the RI Food Fight lord of the wings. Definitely coming back. Forgot that I had the Great Northern Old Fashioned and it went great with the food. Small restaurant with a fun atmosphere. The black a red theme was different. The service was great. The food was ok. Not hot and some of it seemed like it was leftovers. We were there around opening time so maybe from the day before. Overall was satisfied.

This has to be the best BBQ meal I’ve had in a while the brisket and the pork were both cooked to perfection, the sides were all really good. Nothing lacked. The server was awesome and very friendly I’m sad I didn’t catch his name but he’s our “Costco friend”!

I just finished a long exam for class to close out the semester. I was craving bbq. I wasn’t sure where to go and googled a bunch of places and decided to try Great Northern BBQ in Providence. I happen to be in the food industry and am a hard critic but this place blew my socks off. Other places I thought were really good are now just average. Thank you Great Northern BBQ. I am speechless. I just grabbed the huge one platter and the ribs are simply superb. The brisket was fantastic along with the amazing pulled pork, but that smoked sausage was dynamite. I am so satisfied. Thank GNBBQ. Great job Chef to you and your staff! Top tier for sure…….

I surprised my husband by taking him here for lunch. He loves barbecue. Let me tell you, this place…. Great Northern BBQ Co. in Providence, RI … All I can say is“Wow, this is fabulous barbecue!!” - The pulled pork and ribs were so delicate and tasty, and the chicken wings along with delicious coleslaw! Homemade fresh cornbread with a little drizzle of maple syrup made this perfect. Oh, did I mention the mac and cheese? !! So delish! The inside was very cozy, lots of wood, very rustic.. … outside was very nice too, with lots of umbrellas and picnic tables. The service was excellent. Needless to say, my husband absolutely loved it! He gave it a 10 !! We will definitely be going back. Who needs to go down south when you have the “Great Northern BBQ Co.” right here in RI ?
