Grantsburg Golf Course

This is a fun, hilly, short municipal course. Lots of ups and downs. You may want to take a cart. The layout is cool. The greens have a lot of pitch to most of them, so they are tough to hold. The best part, to me, was the greens are smooth and fast. At least as fast as Spooner and other, longer courses. Because of the hard to hold greens and the fast speed, the greens make this course an excellent place to play. You never get green speeds this good at smaller courses like this. Great job by the staff. For $11 walking, you simply can’t beat this course if you want to play a quick nine and you’re in the area. Or play it twice. I’d gladly play here again.

Surprisingly awesome municipal golf executive course. Course is a par 32 with varying holes that use all the clubs in your bag. I was taken back on how it was $15 to ride this course. The greens were in great shape rolling fast and all over......hardly any easy putts. The terrain was crazy part......the first 2 holes nothing crazy but then you get to blind tee shot on 3rd hole and 5th holes that fairway rolled all over and the rest of the round kept you looking at position. The fairways and rough cut well. Mature trees all around. This is rare find for this quality course especially with these rates and in the northwoods. But due to a municipal, there's nothing for a clubhouse or pro shop. So cheap rates and awesome quality difficult course make for a high rating.

Great course. Well maintained. Greens are challenging. Fairways are well defined and line with high grass and mature trees. Easy to walk, with some hills and blind hole. The gnats are ferocious, bring but spray...

Nice little 9 hole course. Can't beat the price. It's usually not too busy. Pin placement can be tough. Greens are well maintained and have good undulations.

Excellent course, perfect for beginners as a confidence booster. Even for more experienced players its a fun course. Lots of rolling hills, shorter yardage than larger courses.
