Grandma's Goodies & Gumbo

Super glad we found your new location!!! Excellent Cajun cooking and amazing service. Enjoyed the fried shrimp basket, chicken & sausage gumbo and peach cobbler. Highly recommend!!!

Very nice smaller restaurant, very surprised at how nice everything was. My wife got red beans and rice, she said it was the best she has had in years, (I tried a bite when she said that, very good, and she said I couldn't have any more. ) she brought some home with her as well to eat that evening. I had the tenderloin and fries. Tenderloin was awsome, to me, the fries were a little over cooked, but still good. We also bought a couple of the cinnamon rolls home for the next morning, awsome isn't a good enough word. 15 seconds in microwave and tasted fresh. Parking might be a issue if both restaurants are busy. But worth a little walk.

First time dining in tonight. Nice cafe feeling restaurant in Hollister. The Seafood Acadia was delicious and very nice portion. The portal salad was very tasty and the cornbread was sweet and moist. To finish off I had the Key Lime Pie and it did not disappoint

Oh. My. Goodness! The fish and fries are AMAZING! One of the best I've ever had. If you like fried fish, you'll definitely love this fried fish basket! It has a little crispness on the outside yet fluffy and meaty on the inside. Absolute perfection! Thank you Terry & Darla! You couldn't make it any better if you tried! ♥️♥️♥️

I wish we would of tried this place sooner ugh! So I got the catfish, potato salad w/cornbread. Honestly probably the freshest, perfectly cooked fish I have ever had and that says ALOT! The potato salad was good as well. Perfect balance of flavors. Doug had the jambalaya (I tried it as well) and yet again amazing flavors! They must make their own sausage or have it brought in. The smoky flavor it had was out of this world. The rice was perfectly cook, just mmmm! Next time we will try the gumbo and probably the jambalaya again. I can't wait to go back! Oh the begets good Doug said.
