A hidden gem; good authentic Indian food. Chicken is nice and tender, no ‘nasty bits’. My wife and I shared a 2 entree combo, with Naan, rice and samosas. The vindaloo has a really nice kick, and my wife really enjoyed the tikka masala. She is pretty picky and thoroughly enjoyed her meal, so that is about as high a level of credit as you can offer 😅 Service could improve a little. The folks don’t communicate very well.. there’s a process to getting your food and having to wait for certain items, but they don’t exactly make it clear. But it doesn’t put us off. We’re grown ups and can work it out. Obviously you’re eating in mall food court, so this isn’t haute cuisine; but for a quick and easy decent tasting authentic Indian meal at reasonable prices, this is not bad.

Food is incredible, some of the best Indian authentic tasting dishes you can find in the Boston area. Have been coming here for 20 plus years and the taste and quality of food has remained consistent. It is something my family and I crave often, I highly recommend.

India Gourmet is consistently excellent. The food is always delicious, portions are satisfying, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality. The standout feature is the fresh bread baked in a traditional tandoor—warm, fluffy, and clearly made to order. It elevates the entire meal and is something you don’t find everywhere. The menu strikes a great balance between classic staples like chicken tikka masala and more eclectic options, so there’s truly something for everyone, whether you’re a first-timer or very familiar with Indian cuisine. And if you go on the weekend, don’t miss the chole bhature—absolutely to die for. A reliable favorite and one of the better Indian food options in the area.

Is mallcore back? After wandering the Burlington Mall in a haze of overstimulation and deal-hunting, we found ourselves at Gourmet India—a true hidden gem that offered exactly the refresh we needed. First, let’s talk about the food court setup. Tucked just out of sight from the bustle of the stores, it feels like a quiet reprieve, with a massive skylight above that brings in natural light and a touch of calmness. The stalls are neatly lined up, which makes browsing easy and ideal for dividing and conquering with friends. Now, onto Gourmet India itself. There’s something charming about the humble presentation here: dishes served in paper and Styrofoam on those red plastic trays, nostalgic of classic mall food but with a twist. My go to spot in the mall for chole bhatura… food can be a hit or a miss … but overall I think their chole bhatura are fairly consistent. I generally do not dare to order anything besides my usual. Haven’t had good memories when I strayed away from the regular path. Service could be more friendly, but I don’t expect it from any joints in the mall.
